Navy Federal’s donation to United Way of West Florida will support relief and recovery efforts for those impacted by the storm.

VIENNA, VA (October 16, 2026) – Navy Federal Credit Union is donating $100,000 to United Way of West Florida’s Hurricane Isaias Relief Fund to help support relief and recovery efforts in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties following the storm.

“For so many of us at Navy Federal, this is home,” said Jackie Biggs, executive vice president for Greater Pensacola Operations at Navy Federal Credit Union. “Nearly 95% of our Greater Pensacola Operations team members live in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties, so when a storm impacts these communities, it impacts our coworkers, members, friends and neighbors. Supporting the recovery is one way we can give back to the place and people we care so deeply about.”

This donation will help the United Way of West Florida and its network of community partners provide emergency assistance and recovery resources to individuals and families affected by Hurricane Isaias.

“Navy Federal Credit Union has been a longstanding partner of United Way of West Florida, and we are incredibly grateful for their continued commitment to our community, said Laura Gilliam, United Way of West Florida president and CEO. “In the wake of Hurricane Isaias, their generosity will help provide much-needed long-term recovery support for local families as they work to rebuild their lives. This contribution to the UWWF Recovery Fund will help us partner with local organizations to get resources where they are needed most. We are thankful for Navy Federal’s partnership and their dedication to helping our community move forward. We encourage others to contribute to the UWWF Recovery Fund. Every donation helps us support local efforts and ensure families have a community standing behind them when they need it most."

Navy Federal has deep roots in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties, where thousands of its employees and members live and work. The credit union has long supported the communities it serves and remains committed to helping its members, employees and neighbors prepare for and recover from natural disasters.

“Northwest Florida is a resilient community, and we’ve seen that resilience in the way people continue to show up for one another,” said Biggs. “Recovery takes all of us, and we’re proud to stand alongside our neighbors and the organizations working every day to help our communities recover and move forward.”
