Direct deposit allows your employer to transfer your paycheck directly into your account, so you can use your money as soon as it’s sent. It’s easy and convenient—and because there are no paper checks, it reduces the possibility of losing or damaging a paycheck, or having it stolen. Most employers use direct deposit and electronic pay stubs, so you’ll still have access to the same information you’d have on a paper check, like a record of salary, taxes and contributions.

Truv is the system we use to connect your payroll provider to your Navy Federal account. Once you find your employer from the list, you can quickly and easily set up or manage your direct deposit preferences.

You can select the Manual Form button on the direct deposit landing page and deliver the form to your employer or payroll provider in person or by email.

Most employers and payroll providers support the reset and recovery of payroll credentials. When available, this will be an option during the setup process. You can also select the Manual Form button on the direct deposit landing page and deliver the form to your employer or payroll provider in person or by email.

After a few quick steps, Truv immediately sends your requested direct deposit details to your payroll provider. These updates usually are processed in your next pay cycle. However, the time it takes to implement your changes will vary, depending on your payroll provider’s process. If you don’t see a deposit within 2 pay cycles, we suggest reaching out to your employer or payroll provider.

Yes. You’ll need to sign back in and use your payroll credentials to make an update to the deposit amount.

Switching where your direct deposit goes doesn’t automatically change your recurring or scheduled transactions at the financial institution where you originally set them up. If you want those payments to be made from your Navy Federal direct deposit account, you’ll need to reach out to those merchants or providers directly to give them your Navy Federal direct deposit account information instead.

We recommend keeping enough money in your old account to cover any scheduled payments until the switch is completed. This is especially important for any payments that might be due during the first 14 days after you begin the change.

  • You can then arrange for those recurring transactions to be paid from your Navy Federal account.
  • After that, you can configure those recurring transactions to be paid from your Navy Federal account.
  • Following this, you can set up those recurring transactions to be paid from your Navy Federal account.

Ready to get started? Thanks to our partner, Truv, the process couldn’t be easier.
