Unauthorized Transactions
If an unauthorized transaction was posted to your account, you can dispute the charge and report fraud online.
Inaccurate Transactions
If you deliberately made a transaction that doesn’t appear correct on your debit or credit card accounts, you should dispute it.
Lost/Stolen Cards
If your card is lost or stolen, or you suspect you’re a victim of fraud or identity theft, call Navy Federal immediately at our service line, 1-888-842-6328, so we can instantly put an immediate hold on your account.
Prepaid Cards
You can also report unauthorized transactions on your GO Prepaid card.

Report a Scammer
Navy Federal will never ask for your personal information over the phone, through social media or email.
If you think you’ve encountered a scammer impersonating a Navy Federal employee, send an email detailing your interaction to reportabuse@navyfederal.org. For security reasons, please don’t include any personal account information in the email.
How We Protect Your Accounts
Using state-of-the-art fraud prevention systems, our dedicated staff monitors your accounts for fraud and unusual activity and will notify you of any suspicious activity we identify. We follow strict safeguards when mailing out cards and statements, and verify your identity whenever we receive calls. To be certain that we reach you quickly, please make sure we have your updated contact information. In addition, our Zero Liability policy ensures that you won't be responsible for confirmed false charges to your Navy Federal Debit or Credit Card.
Travel Notifications
If you plan to travel internationally or domestically, let us know when and where you’ll be traveling. That way, if our fraud monitoring team sees charges, they won’t flag it as suspicious activity and freeze your account.
There are three ways to place a travel notification on your account:
- Log on to Account Access and add a travel notification to your debit or credit card.
- Choose the travel notification option on the Navy Federal mobile app.*
- Call 1-888-842-6328 for 24/7 live phone support.
