Get the Most Out of
Our Mobile App*

These step-by-step guides will help you get
the best mobile banking experience.

Sign In & Settings

Reset Your Password

  1. Open the mobile app.
  2. Select SIGN IN HELP and tap Continue.
  3. Provide the personal information required to verify your identity, then tap Continue.
  4. Select the phone number you'd like to use to verify your account; you will receive a call from us at that number.
  5. Review the selected phone number on the next screen, and tap OK, I’m Ready.
  6. Note the 2-digit security code on the next screen, and wait a few seconds for our call.
  7. Answer the call and enter the 2-digit security code using your phone's keypad.
  8. Return to the mobile app and select I Entered My Code to finalize the verification; you’ll then be prompted to create your new password.
  9. Before entering your new password, select View All Password Requirements to make sure your new credentials are as secure as possible. Once you successfully change your password, there will be a confirmation banner at the top of the Sign In page.

Find Your Username

  1. Open the mobile app.
  2. Select SIGN IN HELP and tap Continue.
  3. Enter your username and date of birth into the text fields and select Continue.
  4. Provide the personal information required to verify your identity, then tap Continue.
  5. View your username at the top of the page along with a link to SIGN IN.

Find Your Access Number

  1. Sign in to the mobile app.
  2. Select More from the bottom navigation bar.
  3. Select Profile & Settings.
  4. View your Access Number along with other personal information.

Set Your Username

  1. Sign in to the mobile app.
  2. Select More from the bottom navigation bar.
  3. Select Profile & Settings.
  4. Select Username on the Profile & Settings screen.
  5. Enter your new username in the text field and select Submit Username.
  6. Before entering your new username, select View All Username Requirements to make sure your new credentials are as secure as possible.

Enable Notifications

  1. Sign in to the mobile app.
  2. Select More from the bottom navigation bar.
  3. Select Notifications.
  4. Choose to receive your mobile banking notifications by push, text or email.
  5. Select Save to confirm your changes.

Find Nearest Branch

  1. Open the mobile app.
  2. Select ATM/BRANCH on the Sign In page.
  3. Select Notifications.
  4. Select a nearby ATM or branch from those listed to see specific information and get directions.
  5. Tap Get Directions from the ATM or branch selected to view a map with step-by-step instructions.

Manage Your Address

  1. Sign in to the mobile app.
  2. Select More from the bottom navigation bar.
  3. Select Profile & Settings.
  4. Select Address and enter your address information.
  5. Select Continue once you’ve entered your information.
  6. Verify your address and choose from the possible options shown, then select Continue.
  7. Confirm your information and select Update Address.

Manage Your Email

  1. Sign in to the mobile app.
  2. Select More from the bottom navigation bar.
  3. Select Profile & Settings and then select Email.
  4. Enter your current email address and select Save.

Manage Your Phone Number

  1. Sign in to the mobile app.
  2. Select More from the bottom navigation bar.
  3. Select Profile & Settings and then select Phone.
  4. Enter a new phone number or update an existing phone number, then select Save.

Account & Card Management

Get Your Account and Routing Numbers

  1. Sign in to the mobile app.
  2. Select the account you want information about, then select SHOW MORE DETAILS.
  3. Find the routing number and the last 4 digits of your account number in the drop-down menu.
  4. Select SHOW to retrieve the full account number.

Change Your Debit Card PIN

  1. Sign in to the mobile app.
  2. Select your checking account.
  3. Select Manage Card.
  4. Select Change PIN from the MAINTENANCE menu.
  5. Enter and verify your new PIN, then select Continue.
  6. Verify your card information and select Submit.
  7. Confirm your card information, then select Done.

Activate Debit Card

  1. Sign in to the mobile app.
  2. Select the account connected to your card.
  3. Select Manage Card.
  4. Select Activate Card from the MAINTENANCE menu.
  5. Confirm the last 4 digits of your debit card and select Activate.
  6. Select Done.

Rename and Reorder Accounts

  1. Sign in to the mobile app.
  2. Select EDIT ACCOUNTS VIEW.
  3. You can hide and show accounts using the eye icon, arrange their order by dragging them above or below other accounts, and rename them using the text field.
  4. Select DONE to save your changes.

View Your Statements

  1. Sign in to the mobile app.
  2. Select the account for the statement you’d like to view.
  3. View your statement by selecting Statements or Statement as of (date).

Freeze/Unfreeze Your Card

  1. Sign in to the mobile app.
  2. Select the account for the card you’d like to freeze.
  3. Select Manage Card, then select Freeze Card.
  4. Select Freeze, then Done.
  5. Whenever a card is frozen, there will be a notification banner at the top of the Account Details screen. To unfreeze the card, select Unfreeze on the banner, then select Unfreeze again on the next screen. Select Done once you’ve made your changes.

Transactions: Transfers, Deposits & Payments

Make a Transfer

  1. Sign in to the mobile app.
  2. Select Transfers from the bottom navigation bar.
  3. Select MAKE TRANSFER.
  4. Select the account you’d like to take money From and the account you’d like to transfer money To.
  5. Enter the Amount you’d like to transfer, verify the Date, then tap Continue.
  6. Review your information and select Make Transfer.

Add Member for Transfer

  1. Sign in to the mobile app.
  2. Select Transfers from the bottom navigation bar.
  3. Select VIEW/ADD ACCOUNTS.
  4. Tap the plus sign (+) button in the top right corner.
  5. Select Navy Federal Personal Account from the next screen.
  6. Choose a method for linking your accounts, enter the requested information and tap Continue.
  7. Review the information and select Add Account.

Member-to-Member Transfer

  1. Sign in to the mobile app.
  2. Select Transfers from the bottom navigation bar.
  3. Select MAKE TRANSFER.
  4. Select the account you’d like to take money From and the member you’d like to send money To.
  5. Enter the Amount you’d like to transfer, verify the Date and select Continue.
  6. Review your information and select Make Transfer.

Add Biller to Bill Pay

  1. Sign in to the mobile app.
  2. Select Bill Pay from the bottom navigation bar.
  3. Select VIEW/ADD BILLERS.
  4. Select the plus sign (+) and choose the type of biller you’d like to add.
  5. Search for your biller, enter your account information and select Continue.
  6. Verify payment amount and date, then select Continue.
  7. Review your new biller information, select Add Biller, then Done.

Make Payment in Bill Pay

  1. Sign in to the mobile app.
  2. Select Bill Pay from the bottom navigation bar.
  3. Select the bill you’d like to pay from the Bill Pay menu.
  4. Select Make Payment.
  5. Enter payment amount in the text field.
  6. Verify payment amount and date, then select Continue.
  7. Review your payment and select Make Payment.

Make a Deposit

  1. Sign in to the mobile app.
  2. Select Deposits from the bottom navigation bar.
  3. Select Enroll and Deposit.
  4. Read the Terms and Conditions, then select ACCEPT.
  5. Select Make Deposit, then select the account you’d like to deposit money To.
  6. Enter the check information and follow the instructions for capturing images of the front and back of the check. Select Continue.
  7. Review the information and then select Make Deposit and Done.

Make a Transfer to a Certificate

  1. Sign in to the mobile app.
  2. Select Transfers from the bottom navigation bar.
  3. Select Make Transfer.
  4. Select the account you'd like to take money From and the certificate you'd like to transfer money To.
  5. Enter the amount you’d like to transfer to your certificate, and set the date of the transfer.
  6. Review your transfer settings and select Make Transfer, then Done.
  7. If you want to enable automatic transfers, select Recurring Transfer (located above the calendar showing your selected transfer date) and pick the Frequency you’d like the transfers to occur, then select Continue.

2-Step

Enable 2-Step Verification

  1. Sign in to the mobile app.
  2. Review 2-Step features.
  3. Select Enable 2-Step.

Verify 2-Step With Text

  1. Sign in to the mobile app.
  2. Select Text Message, then Send.
  3. You’ll receive a text message from Navy Federal with a unique security code.
  4. Enter the security code in the text field within 3 minutes of receiving the text, then select Submit.
  5. If you miss the 3-minute window, you can always select RESEND CODE and try again.

Verify 2-Step With Email

  1. Sign in to the mobile app.
  2. Select Email, then Send; you’ll receive an email from Navy Federal with a unique security code.
  3. Enter the security code in the text field within 3 minutes of receiving the email, then select Submit.
  4. If you miss the 3-minute window, you can always select RESEND CODE and try again.
