When filing your tax returns, you may need one or more of the following.

Navy Federal Tax ID: 530116705

IRS Form 1099

If you need to show dividend earnings or other IRS Form 1099 information, we'll mail it to you by the end of January. You can also view it through digital banking.*

Mobile App:* Sign in and tap More in the bottom right of the screen, then tap Tax Statements.

Online Banking: Sign in and click the Statements link in the blue banner at the top of the screen. The dividend earnings and other IRS Form 1099 information you'll need for your 2021 tax return will appear in the Tax Documents section.

Note: If your combined interest-earning accounts report earnings of less than $10 in dividends, you won't receive a 1099.

IRS Form 1098

IRS Form 1098 (Mortgage Interest Statement) can help to show the amount of interest, points or mortgage insurance premiums you paid on your mortgage loan. You may be able to use these expenses as deductions.1

You can find your 1098 Mortgage Interest Statement for 2021 in the 1098 Statements section of online banking—they aren't available in the mobile app. Follow these steps to access them:

  1. Click Statements on the top right of the page.
  2. Click the arrow to expand your mortgage or equity statements.
  3. Select your mortgage/equity account and click "+" to expand.
  4. Select 1098 Statements and click on the desired year you're looking for.

Note: If your loan is a Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) or was paid in full during 2021, your IRS Form 1098 will be posted in the 1098 Statements section.
