Here's How to Apply
Follow these steps to become a Navy Federal business member.
- Gather information before you start the new business membership application.
- Make sure all owners have a Navy Federal membership. All owners (individuals or entity owners) must be individual members of Navy Federal Credit Union with accounts in good standing.
- Gather all required documentation. You can find the list of documentation required for your business type on our Business Solutions FAQs page.
- Complete a new business membership application.
- Start the application. Sign in with your personal Navy Federal credentials to access the business membership application. Complete all sections by following the instructions provided throughout the process.
- Save to come back later if you're unable to complete it. To resume where you left off, sign in within 5 days using your personal Navy Federal credentials. Under the To-Do List section, you can click the Incomplete Application link and select the Continue button.
- Upload the required documents.
- Check your To Do list. Sign in with your personal Navy Federal credentials and complete any outstanding tasks shown on your To Do list, according to the instructions provided.
- Call us at 1-877-418-1462 within 2 business days after you've uploaded your documents.
- Review your application and documents with our representative. Please be mindful that the review process could take up to an hour. Our representatives are available Monday through Friday, 9 am to 7 pm ET.
- Be prepared to fund your business membership. Depending on your business type, the minimum amount required to open your business account will be $250–$255. This amount should be available for transfer from your personal Navy Federal account or through a non-Navy Federal debit or credit card.
